I do not buy on Amazon, but not least I have the same thing.

So far, the automated software is very reliable, with only problem is that quantity. I have been out zero'ed and the hard disk with dd (comes with all the * nix), the entire hard drive is empty without problems. The improvement of speed is definitely noticeable when you use the Turbo driver for Mac OS X installed to make it clear.

The only drawback is the insaneThe included software, which frankly, given that Microsoft and Apple both offer backup software with its operating system, I wonder if it's a case of Shovelware from a seller by Western Digital is always something out of the market. With regard to complain, please read the manual and the solution is very friendly.

The power cable that comes with the hard disk is of poor quality. If the wire cord bends easily break. Western Digital provides a very poor customer service. I would not recommend this product to others.

Poor Quality - dakine - Between C and B-sharp
Of the two, which I bought on Amazon, are 4 months apart, were both cases / problems of alignment of the connector. USB and power cables are half-way at issue, ie that have not been properly installed inside the case. I thought these were isolated incidents, but I bought the same thing at best buy with the same results. Can not go back, because both the time between when I ordered it and when I actually used.

So with 3 popsicle sticks and a credit card, opened the cases andthe correction for the orientation of the board so that the doors do not put in a plastic case. I could not work properly on this rubbish, as it should be prepared from the connector box. No WD external. Purchase of Seagate from now on.

Achieved within 3 months, will not start. I took the thing apart and tried another disk for data to manage everything. All my favorite family photos that I tried once again to have a reliable unit to save space on my computer away. Thanks WD! I did not pay $ 1 for that matter, he is aware.
